Healing your new tattoo

Your tattoo is an open wound for the first little while, so gentle, consistent care matters. You’ll leave with specific instructions, and you can always call us with questions.

The basics

  • Leave the initial covering on as long as your artist tells you.
  • Wash gently with clean hands and a mild, fragrance-free soap.
  • Pat dry and apply a thin layer of aftercare product — a little goes a long way.
  • Let it breathe; don’t smother it.

What to avoid

Keep your healing tattoo out of pools, hot tubs, and direct sun. Don’t pick or scratch as it flakes — that’s how you lose detail and color.

Sun is the long game

Once healed, sunscreen is the single best thing you can do to keep your tattoo crisp on the Emerald Coast. Questions mid-heal? Call Alien Phone Tattoo — we’re glad to help.
