Owner/ Tattoo Artist
Brittany Garrity was born and raised here in Fort Walton. She received a BFA in Illustration from Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA in November 2010. In April of 2012 she began working for Jim Wolfe at Tattoo Zoo in downtown Fort Walton Beach, FL. She worked floor and apprenticed for just over a year and a half and then began tattooing in December 2013. She continued working at the Zoo until December 2018 when she left to open Alien Phone Tattoo with husband Spencer Garrity.
Outside of work her interests include family life, going to/working at music festivals and concerts, exploring new ideas, cooking, hanging out with kitty cats, spending time in nature, and creating new art and visuals.
Heather Heatwave started her apprenticeship under Brittany at Alien Phone Tattoo in April 2019. After 2 years, she became a full-time tattoo artist around April 2021. Art has been a life-long passion of hers; she is well versed in painting with acrylic and watercolor, creating murals, as well as drawing portraits and free-flow, figure drawings.
She is a well-rounded tattoo artist who enjoys bringing client’s ideas to life through custom work. Her favorite pieces to work on are floral designs, pet portraits, fantasy art, and memorials. Outside of tattooing, she’s a self-taught musician who has performed in multiple bands as a songwriter and bass player/vocalist. Heather also loves spending quality time with her friends and family, including her three adorable little nephews.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW DO I GET TATTOOED BY THESE SPACE TAT WIZARDS?
Email firstname.lastname@example.org with your preferences on artist if you have one, (if not then tell us a little about what you'd like, if there are any scheduling preferences, etc. and we can help you pick) and then we will tell you how to proceed with the artist of your choosing. We can do most of our consultations via email, but if there is need for in person, we can set that up as well. Consultations are always free. To set an appointment is by a non-refundable deposit which does the following: holds you your appointment time on the schedule, allows for one reschedule with at least 2 days notice, and is applied toward the price of your tattoo when you come get it. The deposit amount depends on a number of things, to include size, detail, amount of time booking for day, etc. Deposit is due at time of booking. These typically range from $60-10% of tattoo proposed cost.
For drawings we have a mix of approaches, sometimes we draw beforehand, sometimes it is called for to draw in person with the client, sometimes we draw right on the skin with markers. If we are drawing before that typically means week of the appointment (we have drawings to do for every day, so its best to keep them current and in order) and drawings will be available day of. Any changes can be made then with the client before committing to skin. Thank you for trusting us with your skin and we look forward to tattooing you!
